Best Book on Marriage I Have Read.

Sex Begins in the Kitchen ... is more than just a book about sex. It's about the husband/wife relationship including topics like birth order, previous sexual relationships, and communication.
This book is written by a man who understands both men and women and is able to explain things in a way both sexes can understand. His comedy keeps heavy issues light enough to deal with without watering down the importance of the message. I would recommend this book for couples who are having trouble, those in good times and for those who are engaged.

Highly Recommended for ALL Couples!

Dr. Leman knows his stuff! He has the gift of being able to share his insights, wisdom and practical advice (guidelines, how to, and exercises -- not just talk) in an easily understandable, entertaining package. He explains both men's and women's perspectives to help us understand each other. He not only tells us the truth, he tells us how to cope and improve our lives. I promise you will see yourself and many others you know in these pages.
We can all use more wisdom to improve our marriages, and nothing is more important to our happiness. Many/most of us lacked good role models modeling healthy marriages while we were growing up. Many of the lessons we learned have not served us well. Even the lucky few with good role models will face unique challenges with their own spouses. So we can all benefit from learning better relationship skills.
Dr. Leman helps us to see that we have everything to gain by making our marriage our top priority in life. (Yes, even ahead of the children, who are #2. We've probably all seen parents who are blowing this concept.) IMO the section on communication is key. It's no news that men and women often don't communicate in the same way. Poor communication leads to misunderstandings, frustration and anger. Burying those feelings eventually backfires; they are always expressed in some form. The resulting emotional distance has destroyed many marriages. Dr. Leman gives practical guidelines on how to overcome our differences and strengthen the emotional bonds and intimacy that give us our deepest satisfaction in life.
This book is a fantastic bargain with life-enhancing potential. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, Dr. Leman!

Must have for every man who loves his wife

Great book for any man who is truly trying to understand the inner workings of his wife. It explains how women think and respond differently than men. Even if you don't quite understand why, it equips you with the information to act upon and, hopefully, create a greater sense of sexual fulfillment for you both.
