Awesome Bible with Hebrew Names of God!!

I love this Bible for the fact that the Hebrew names of God (hence the name) are used! Even Jesus is referred to as Yeshua! The only thing I personally do not like is the translation (God's Word Translation). Don't get me wrong, it is a very easy to understand translation, but I do not feel personally that it is an accurate translation. It to me would have been better as an NASB or HCSB version! But that's just my opinion and why I gave it 4 stars! But by all means it is a great BIble and I would highly recommend it to those who want to get in touch with the Jewish roots of our Christian Faith!

The First and Last Bible You Will Ever Need to Read.

The first point to be covered is the God's Word translation of this outstanding book is easy to read and yields new insights that other translations seem to overlook. The major problem with this Bible is that the text is TOO SMALL to be easily read in church or to highlight for later reference. I hope that Revell Publishing and/or Baker Publishing Group take special note of this problem. I have the Kindle version (well highlighted) & wanted the physical book for reference & comparison. The second point that needs to be covered is Dr. Ann Spangler's Names of God outstanding work on the translation of traditional names LORD, GOD and Jesus to be replaced with the original Hebrew Names of YAHWEH, ELOHIM, and Yeshua. The many names & titles of Yahweh are listed for reference along with the proper pronunciation making the reading of this Bible a significant learning experience for any Bible reader. Dr. Spangler presents each Old & New Testament book with a contextual introduction which adds to the reading for better understanding. The third point is the inclusion of special editorial writings which expand one's experience within each topic including suggested prayers for those who need a personal experience. The final point is: Why use the different Names of God within the text of the Bible at all? Simply, truthful understanding and knowledge of our Creator; His character is multi-faceted and so too are His names. Reading the context of God's true name i.e. Elohim, Yahweh Yireh etc. expands out awareness of His Nature, His Devine Presence, His Glory for all mankind. This publication of the Names of God Bible is the first and last Bible you will ever need to read.

Great bible, just a few things I wish were different.

Great bible; the accuracy is great, the only real complaint I have is that the new testament quotes (such as Jesus quoting Deuteronomy) of the old testament did not have any sort of citation or source like similar translations (such as NIV) do.
This is the only thing that comes to mind that I wish would be revised in the next edition; other than that I enjoy the explanations it gives for each name, and the rich deep meaning it brings to the Names of Yahweh God.
