Soul stirring

I have been on several book launch teams. I have read thousands of books. I have spoken, written and read millions of words. But never any like these. I’ve never had a book awaken something so deep within me. I’ve never been through 2 highlighters in one book. I’ve never fashioned an artistic board with each chapter of a book. With each page I turned my soul stirred, my eyes swelled, my thoughts went upward, and my knees went downward. This book will not open your eyes, it will something much more profound than that. This book will open your soul, to something lying embryonic.

Often Christian life books can feel like they are insulting me with their superficiality. Not this one! Leenana "goes there" in a way that is at once truthful and thought-provoking. Through her stories and insights, Leeana points to the easiness of God's grace and sings us the freedom and courage to live authentically.
If that weren't enough, she offers us a way to interact with these concepts through writing and art prompts at the end of each chapter. This is not just a book to read. It is one to get real and messy with, in your heart and hands as you step out on your own spiritual journey. I will be re-reading this for years to come!

Relatable and so necessary!

I love how Leeana is able to give words to the wrestling in my heart. Her courage to do soul work is inspiring. As a soon to be mama of 4, I know how easy it is to get lost in the mix. I'm thankful for this book nudging me to rediscover what has been hiding.
